I did do research but I'm still going to give my child what I think is best. You and doctors are not raising my child for me with facts or not. This girl is asking a question and I'm giving her and answer. I'm not worried. Especially with my self as and example. Obesity and food allergies is the last of my worries. I'm not feeding her the rice every feeding

Hey its no one on heres fault you dont know how to take care of your kid. Take some classes and learn to not be a f**k up of a parent. You dont just do what you want to do because it seems like an ok idea. Dont feed your kid cereal in a bottle unless its needed.

Ohh and the cereal for sleeping longer is a myth. I did it for 3 years for my son and he never slept through the night till 16 months and even after that would still wake up at times. Get up with the kid you made the choice to bring into this world. Its not that hard I promise.

You wanna give good advice tell her to talk to her doctor. Just because you do something with your child the is in general against all current research and standards doesnt mean you should advise others to do the same.

Le sigh. I will never understand parents that refuse to educate themselves and go against the advice of trained professionals...

Because their mother/grandparent/aunt/friend of friend did it and their baby is alive. f**king gold start for not killing your child. Lets be honest unless you're trying to kill someone its pretty hard to do. Just because you cant see the effects of something doesn't mean they aren't there or wont show up later in life.

I'm not telling her to do it. She has the choice to give her child or not. She said shes already spoon feeding it. I'm not telling her to do that. She asked a simple question and I answered sorry its not up to your standard in parenting. that's not my problem. Sue me.

I agree 100%.
Ignorance is not always bliss. I was given rice cereal in my bottle and was exclusively formula fed(never had breastmilk once) as an infant and I have a lot of digestive problems now that don't run in my family. They are weird to. Not normal ones... not allergies but food intololerance to things.

I fully believe the way I was fed caused my issues. I mean, there is no indication that it is genetic what so ever... None of my issues popped up until I became an adult.

I wish people would educate themselves. Makes me sad for the babies.

Everytime my child has a problem I'm not going to google it. I did talk to my doctor about it. And I got "Your her mother you know what she needs."
Your problem not mine.

You could use some education then. Might as well google it and come to an EDUCATED decision before screwing up your children. They are human beings not test subjects. One care provider does not speak for the thousands upon thousands of research studies conduction by health organizations.

Doctors suck anyway when it comes to advice about anything other then medication... a nutritionist would be far better since they are trained in FOOD.

I think I can raise my own child thank you. You can have your opinions. If you want to go far you can talk to my doctor for me and tell them that they are idiots and should have their license taken. =]

I never said they should have their licensed taken but they are stupid when it comes to most subjects other then medication. They are TRAINED in medication. Most doctors don't take extended nutrition classes. That is why when someone has diabetes or obesity issues.... or whatever else they recommend that they go see a DIETITIAN! ;P
Doctors have their own specialties. However, for food you need to see a food specialist or else they have no idea what they are talking about.

It doesn't take a genius to know that.

It doesn.t take a genius to raise a child either. Like I said I'll raise my child the way I please. I was only saying what I do with my child. And if this girl wants to do that than so be it. Call me an idiot and tell me my child is going to be messed up. I don't have a problem with it. I was given cereal when I was 2 months old and I have no problems. Sorry you thing your digestive system is messed up. But not everyone is like you. I know whats best for my child whether you base your opinion at me and tell me to do research.
