I thought the chicken pox vaccine is grouped in with some other ones? You may have to ask about that one.

I don't do any vaccinations at all. I don't believe in getting the flu shot at all as you still end up getting sick even after having it. But ask about the chicken pox.

The chicken pox vaccine wasn't even mentioned to me until DDs last appointment and they give it at 1 year. The flu I think can only be given to babies older than 6 months.

We opted out of the chicken pox, and another one I can't remember. And flu shot will never be given to him. Chicken pox was at 12 months I believe.

my daughter ended up in hospital with septic arthritis after having chicken pox. They thought it was osteomyelitis had to have mri. If she did have osteomyelitis she was looking at having to have a hip replacement before she was even 2 years old depending how bad it was, thank god that didn't eventuate. She was in for a week on iv antibiotics then on them orally for about 6 weeks from memory. If she refused to take them orally she would have had to stay in hospital on drip for a lot longer (6 weeks or so)
I always used to think, ah pfft chicken pox vaccine it not like it's ever killed anyone, but after seeing what my daughter went through I have changed my thoughts. She was on morphine (or was it pethadine, I can't remember, one of them) for the pain. If you don't want to vaccinate that your choice but just thought I'd mention what I been through, or rather what my daughter went through.

My ex's little brother passed away at the age of 5 due to complications from chicken pox. He got a very severe case when he was about 18 months old and spent his life to the age of 5 having all kinds of surgeries and stuff. He had some sort of tumor like growths caused by the severe case of chicken pox he had. I don't know all the details of what happened to him but I know it was very bad. I will always vaccinate for chicken pox but I don't believe the flu shot is necessary.

I'm against vaccinating my baby when she's so little. I have had to change pedis a couple of time because they didn't agree with me. I'm waiting to get her shots until she's one. Th ats how I feel about the whole thing.
