My daughter is 4 years old and having some really bad nightmares since shes come home from her dads house...... They're scaring me cause they are disturbing her so badly. She wont tell me what shes dreaming about and when she wakes up crying and trembling its difficult to soothe her.... What do I do?? I'm trying my best to help her calm down but it seems nothing I do is helping with her nightmares..... Any suggestions?

does it take awhile for her to go back to sleep...and is almost like shes not fully awake? could be a night terror and if so usually they dont remember what happened

Does dad let her watch scary movies? My brother's gf has been having this problem with her daughter after she stays at her dad's. No movies, no nightmares. Don't know what you should do. Sorry I'm not much help.

I dont know what goes on up there.... When I try to call he gets hateful and all he wants to do is fight...... and it takes her awhile to get back to sleep and I mean something is bothering my baby and I dont know how to comfort her.

Quoting Cathryn Cary:" I dont know what goes on up there.... When I try to call he gets hateful and all he wants to do is fight...... ... [snip!] ... and it takes her awhile to get back to sleep and I mean something is bothering my baby and I dont know how to comfort her."

it may be night terrors and by morning she may not remember what happened.. they are a bit different than just a nightmare and can be triggered by anything
