My daughter will be 2 in May..and this past week she has been biting, not sitting still for me to put on her diaper, climbing on everything possible, wanting to eat alllll the time, screams if i try to pick her up, or if i tell her no she throws her cup and everything...ignores me when i talk to her and wont listen to me at all...I know all of this is normal, but what is a way i cant nip this in the butt and or handle this..i feel as if i am going to lose my mind, she has never ever acted this way

Get used to it is the only advise I have. DS started acting like that at 1 1/2. Hes now 2 1/2 and he's just gotten worse. Disciplined does not faze him.

my LO is 13 months and has already started to throw tantrums and act up not biting or hiting but just throws stuff and creams she has an angry growl she does when shes mad....we put her in time out in her room or her playpen till she is done crying then i give her a hug and explain its not ok...i know she probably young for the explaining thing but why not start early

a nice smack on the buns. not enough to hurt, just enough to instill some fear.

Oh joy, I heard that i should just ignore her when she acts like that, but when i am around people and or out in public it's hard to ignore, lol.

lol yeaah he goes in time out when we're home. When we're in public I get down to his level and try to calmly talk him down... sometimes I bribe him to be good with treats or being able to see his nanny or something. He can get pretty outrageous when we're out and bribing is usually a last resort.

i always had a healthy fear of my parents. getting your butt smacked was the worst punishment ever! maybe fear is a too harsh of a word, but, butt smacks work.

I used to get spanked with a wooden spoon and hit with belts along with being spanked.. I don't think its giving your child the right message. SO has spanked DS before and all he did was hit him back. It doesn't work IMO.

Yup i have to bribe her with food allll the time to get her to stop in public, it just gets me so frustrated when she wont listen to me and me giving her what she wants i'm scared it will back fire on me one day
