Slim fast 321! K&T Alberta 272 posts

Well, between final exams and the holidays, I probably put on about 15 pounds... it's pretty tragic. I have decided to try the slimfast 321 diet plan. I have only been doing it for two days, but so far so good. I have been using almond milk instead of 2% milk. The reason I am doing this is because almond milk has 60 cal/ cup compared to milk which has 140 cal/cup. This gives me room to make up the additional 80 calories by eating something. Example: for lunch I had a shake, with half a cup of mixed berries added and a small bowl of salad. I was more than satisfied after! I am exercising six days a week doing a variety of things, I am going to do an assortment of Jillian Michaels, P90X, and home cardio exercises like running stairs, skipping, and when it's nice enough, running outside. I feel confident that I am going to get results, as I have gotten results with exercise alone and no diet.

I would love to hear about other people's experience with slim fast, and am welcoming to any suggestions or tips!!

TIA ladies!!

I've had the shakes but hated the amount of sugar and junk so I didn't stick with it.

3 100 calorie sacks - between breakfast & lunch, lunch and dinner, and after dinner, 2 shakes or bars, and 1 500 calorie mean for dinner!

I don't like the fact that you are getting one meal a day in which you add fresh foods. I guess you could call me a naturalist. I prefer fresh homemade pure juice to shakes.

I would never buy a product that claims weight loss results. You'd do better with a juicer and exercise. Many people but slim fast and others thinking "oh this will do". They are junk. The plan is just cutting calories. Soon as you get off it, it will probably come back. It's better to train yourself with portion control than live out of cans most of the time..

Like I said in my OP I use almond milk so that I can eat real food as well, and I love juicing and real juice too, but this is just something I plan on doing for two months to get back on track before I start eating normal! :) Hopefully gives me a jump start!

I make my own drinks, and I add half a cup of fresh fruit, and eat something. My weight loss plan is based around reduced calories, something I am aware I will have to continue once I quit using slim fast. This is just a good starting point for me.
