I gave birth to my son exactly two months ago as of today and im still bleeding. I had my six week check up already but it wasnt with my ob it was with a diffrent one due to my doctor bring on vacation. So he didnt know anything about my pregnancy and delivery so I felt scammed kinda. He said it looked like Im starting my period but I havent stopped bleeding yet after giving birth its still red and quite alot still. Is this normal to bleed this long? Its getting annoying . I just eant it to stop im on birth control yet im still bleeding. Any suggestions and how long did you bleed for?

Call your OB. I bled for 7 weeks once but by then it was hardly noticable. Maybe it is your period starting. Maybe not?

I bled for about 2 1/2 months. I had my PP bleeding then started my period right afterwards, and then my birth control had my bleeding all screwed up. If you are concerned maybe try to make another appt with your ob.

I bled for 1 or 2 weeks after that i spotted a little. Still havent really had a pp period though. Ive heard of women bleeding for 7-8 weeks but not period like bleeding. You havent had any reprieve?

With my first born i bled for a little over 2at months. I finally stopped for a couple of days and then got my period for a week.

You need to call your actual OB and ask her, only she will know for sure. And I would suggest taking iron supplements in the meanwhile.

The 1st ppd AF can be heavier and last longer than your regular period. Mine started at 7wks ppd and it lasted 10days instead of my average 5-6days. If your bleeding lasts much longer, you should definately check in w/your regular OB.
