has anyone on here used evening primrose oil inserted vaginally and had it successfully start labor? its recomended by midwives but im scared to insert something into myself lol

It wont start labor, but it will soften your cervix.

at my last dr appt i was 2 1/2 cm dialated and 75% softened, does it sound like its worth it ? if i soften my cervix more wont it cause me to dialate faster ?

it didnt work for me :/ but i was closed tight and up high. it may work since your already overdue and your cervix is ripening

No to all of your questions. It will soften it. It will not dilate it more to start labor.

This. It's completely safe. It just helps your cervix prepare for labor, so to speak.

i wasnt asking if it was gunna dialate me i said if i soften my cervix will that help dialate me

I think I know what you mean...normally if your 100% effaced the only thing left to do is for your cervix to dilate...so regardless of whether it does or not, you would dilate someway or another...
