How likely is it that I can lose 20lbs in 2 weeks? Queen2Three 3 kids; Greenfield, California 1234 posts

Question is simple. I have not started working out. I start today after work, I plan on being on a 1200 calorie diet and exercising daily. I have a appointment for glamour shots on Feb. 1st. So it would be nice to lose some.

I am currently 5'3 140lbs

not likely. You can lose probably around 5ish but don't starve yourself. It will be counter productive.

It's possible. I lost 10 the first wk on the cardiac diet. The next wk I lost 6.

There is no way that would be healthy if you could. And eating 1200 calories won't do it, no matter how much you exercise.

It is highly unlikely and very unhealthy.

I would hope not cos that's not healthy. I mean, maybe if you had a lot of water weight on?

If you were more overweight you'd lose faster. But to be honest you're really not. You could probably lose ten though and tone up a good bit. :)

If you were very obese it could be possible but at your weight, you could probably lose 5lbs. Try drinking lots of too water to get rid of any extra water weight

Can you elaborate please? I'm trying to figure out how many calories I should be eating and MFP says 1200.

Even if you did your body would go into starvation mode and you'd end up putting it back on plus some extra

My Fitness Pal is set up to lose a pound or two a week.... not 10, lol.

If MFP says 1200, then follow that.

Darn I guess I'll settle for like 10lbs. I just want my face to slim down a little. I have horrible love handles and my cheeks got rounder.
