its more common before 12 weeks. Its less common after. My OB said that if I was 20 weeks they would keep in the hospital to see what different options I could do. So I'm guessing at 20 weeks they can get the baby out premature.

That's what I was saying, she had passed the time period (12wks) that miscarriage is more likely to happen.

Uhm... if your placenta tore away from the uterine wall it is called placenta abruption, and depending on the severity I can be deadly for mother and baby. If caught early tho it can heal on its own, but 2 days of bed rest seems absolutely ridiculous to me aand I'd be getting a second opinion of you're still bleeding.

They can't really do much at 20 weeks either except monitor you and the baby. They can admit you though and keep you in the hospital until you're stable. 24 weeks is 'viability'. At that point, there's about a 50% chance of survival. You can get the steroid shots, etc.

If i was in your situation, I wouldn't be real comfortable going back to work until the bleeding completely stopped. I would talk to your ob about extending bedrest for another week or so at least and then another U/S to see what's going on in there.

Pelvic rest = no sex, no lifting anything over 10 lbs. No nipple stimulation or orgasms. Only light cleaning if you can get around it.

You should be on bedrest. Until it heals. If anything happens, I would feel horrible.
