What is the best time for a 16 month old to take a nap? Every morning he wakes up at 6:45am and doesn't go back to sleep. A few months ago he was waking up at 8 am and would go back to sleep till about 10:30-11am. But his sleep schedule has changed, maybe a growth spurt or something.

He will take a nap once a day and i try not to make his nap too late since i try to get him into bed by 8pm.

I don't think there really is a "best time." We just kind of let our kids decide when to nap. At sixteen months old our oldest actually started only taking one nap in the afternoon, she was taking two one in morning and one afternoon.

I only put my little boy for a nap when he shows signs of tiredness, rubbing his eyes, pulling at his ear or just being clumsy and getting annoyed with himself, that way I know it is the best time for him to sleep x but I don't get worried from day to day if it changes, he uses to much energy i'm not surprised he needs to sleep a lot, he's like a rocket!
