My aunts ob delivered my cousin face up feet first...no problems....it can be done but I would switch to a midwife now...its still possible for you to turn your baby on your own too!

I mean if it becomes an emergency like having to break the bones and stuff I won't hesitate, I just want to be able to refuse at all cost unless something like that were to happen. I just know from the experience my mom had, I came out perfect with no broken bones, and nothing at all wrong with me. I know it is risky most definitely, I just know it is always still possible that he would be ok :). I will DEFINITELY request an u/s if they say he is breech and the procedure to turn him doesn't work!!! If they tell me he is still breech at my next apt in 2 weeks, I will talk to my OB about still delivering him vaginal even if he can't be turned. And if he is one who would drop me, I will go on a search for a doctor who will! I just want to have the allll natural experience. I mean I am not really worried about it right now because I think he has turned it feels like I get kicks in my ribs and I swear if I lay back just enough I can feel his head. I just wanted to see if I can refuse one if it comes to that being the issue. So thank you for all the responses that helped a lot!

My OB did say that if he turns out to still be breech at my 35 weeks apt in 2 weeks, then he will start trying to turn him, and then well I will be discussing the what if's with him in 2 weeks :)! I don't want to give my son any problems, but if he can be born just as healthy breech then please KEEP THE SCISSORS AWAY lol!...or whatever tools they use to cut you open! After my sisters story of her C-section and her recovery story, I am wanting to go all natural!

Scalpel and if I were you i'd research a little on c-sections for the 'just in case' so it's not this huge shock to you if it does happen. I was like you, wanted all natural and ended up with 2 c-sections I knew nothing about. If I done a little research it might of been a little easier. Good luck :)

Oh I plan too do some research, I want to be prepared, which is why I am so thankful for this site, since there are a lot of women with helpful stories of their experiences :)! And I already think he may be locked and loaded and ready to go, but I can't be sure, I know at 26 weeks (which is still very early) he was still breech, but I do think he may have turned. I just hope it can be an all natural vaginal birth :D

Yes, you can... I would make sure to do some research though! I just saw a delivery today where the baby was too big and the episiotomy they had to give her went all the way to her anus!! O-o

Not if you're in labor. They can't legally turn you away or refuse to treat you if you are in labor. Beforehand sure but if you just show up you'll get the on call doc.

Well :) then this right here tells me, I will want to stay in labor at home as long as I can take it, hopefully I will be dilated to at least a 4 before I go in to have him :). So this gave me a little bit of hope too if things come out like I said with a breech baby.

She is talking about the dr turning her away not the hospital. Her doctor can drop her as a patient, which just means she wouldnt have an OB to call for labor/delivery. She would still be admitted to the hospital to deliver the baby.

I mean hell if my OB drops me, they cant refuse to give me a doctor right??? And I guess if they do, I will just call my mother and ask her to come and help because she did 3 at home and helped a few people give birth at home to. So I know she will be helpful.

I would wait until closer to your due date & request a ultrasound to ensure the baby moved.. sometimes when you go into labor your baby will move. if you ask your midwife or nurse maybe able to help you rotate the baby.. i know there are ways, if you get on your hands and knees you maybe able to move the baby. My brother was breech and they wouldn't give my mom the chance to labor at all.. she ended up with a c section and it caused a lot of problems for her.

Oh yes, I plan to, if they tell me that he is still breech at 38 weeks, I am going to ask for an u/s which should be done without a problems, and if he is then I will try everything in the book to make him turn. I don't want a C-section because I don't want any type of drugs at all and don't want to be cut up either lol.

yeah i don't blame you!!! i went through a lot with my pregnancies and nothing scared me except for the fear of possibly needing a c section if anything happened.. thankfully my boy was head down and engaged at 24 weeks and delivered successfully at 33wks (although he was early it was a success in my books!) i hope you're able to have your perfect delivery!
