Quoting Serial Mom ✄:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Love Wedge +2:</b>" My son's name will be changing from Tobias ... [snip!] ... Thanks :) and Toby (Tobias) is an awesome name. It was on my boy list! I've lived it since Labyrinth."

Tobias is a character in my favourite book series.

Clayton is as well, which was also on my list lol.

Bub's dad went with Tobias. He wanted Edmund after his grandpa, but when he was born his dad and I weren't getting along very well so I filled out the paperwork without him. Now that we're talking better he wants to change the name.

I'm not happy with it. I'd like to just keep it as-is.

Quoting LolaMcKitten:" She's less than a year old, she won't have to go before a judge. I changed my son's middle name and last name and just had to fill out paperwork and send it in, and before a year old, it's free. "

Seriously? I wonder if it's free here, too.

It may be, you should call if your interested in doing it, half the crap I read online was just not true, it's best to actually talk to someone in vital records.

I'm not interested in it, but my son's dad is. I explained in one of my posts above lol.

Ok, yeah, I just went back and read that. I wouldn't change anything if you aren't comfortable.

I've already said yes, unfortunately. I can't really go back on it now.

His name would have been Tobias Edmund R-B if we had been getting along better at the birth, so, eh. lol

I think it's a nice name, though! At least he's not trying to change it to some weird made-up crap.

True lol.

At first he was dead set on Xavier Edmund James.

Ew.

He wanted Marley for a girl, after Bob Marley.

Men are so weird with names - mine has awful taste, he gets very little say this time, I refuse to have another child with a name I dislike.

I wish I could remember the one he wanted for a girl. It was ridiculous.

I had full reign with Adria's name (Adria Grace) because her dad had screwed off and denied her existence until she was almost 4.

Aw, Adria is so pretty! I really like it. My sons father is the same way, he hasn't seen my son since he was 3 months old and he will be 4 in March and I don't think he even knows what state we live in.

My partner this time is just super cheesy lol. He has two daughter with common musical names and wants to call this girl Rhapsody or Symphony.....No. Not happening.

 Oh, boy.

Adria is 6 now and he's trying to shove his way into her life, full force. He doesn't realize that she's a very sensitive and needs time to adjust, so she doesn't really like going to his place yet.

Plus his girlfriend's 4 year old son bugs her lol.

Thanks hun :) I didn't understand why so many people thought it was weird.
I'm super happy about it. Finally, it feels right when I say my baby's name.

Yeah, don't go with his choices (obviously) lol
Do you know what you're naming her yet?

Your daughter has a beautiful name.

I go through bs with my older daughter's father too. He is a big mess. He and his girlfriend sit around doing any and all drugs they can get their hands on. Obviously, he doesn't see our daughter. He lost his rights to her years ago from getting dirty opiate drops over and over again.
