Got my paperwork in the mail from the doctor today. My order foe the the 3 hour glucose test and instructions for the 3 days prior. I hate drinking that crap :/ Last weeks one hour one made me dizzy and had hot flashes, but they were nice enough to put me in a lounge chair with a warm blanket til my draw. Not looking forward to sitting at the hospital for over 3 hours, and the results either. Just have a bad feeling. Going to call tomorrow to schedule my appointment.

I no longer have the bad feeling, I just assume I have GD now since I have with each of the other 3. It's less nerve wracking that way!

I tried the baking soda thing too. But read somewhere that it has to be a fairly new box of baking soda in order to "work". My box was kind of old. I got nothing. Have yall tried the dangling a ring by a string or a piece of your hair, over your bump test?? If it starts to swing in a circular motion-boy. Swings from side to side- girl.

What was your treatment plan?

I've always avoided meds but probably should have been on something with #3. I just exercise at the gym 4-5 days a week for an hour a day and keep my carbs real low, and any that I do eat are super high in fibre. I also add fibre in the form of ground flax to things like my morning eggs and daily Salad. I avoid all refined sugar but if I do splurge for a b-day or something like that then I make sure that the sugar is also high in fat to slow the uptake of the sugar. My diet gets even more strict in my last trimester since my ptl prevents me from exercising.

Carb restrictions will kill me! This Italian girl loves her pasta and breads!
Currently I'm loving orange flavored kool-aid, and potato chips. I'm a junk food addict :/

Usually I am too, it's really hard for me! But this time all I crave is fruit, so at least that's usually high in fibre, I hear that's what happens when it's a girl, fingers crossed!
