Yes very much of a relief!! I gave up on gender wishes and was worryiing so much about the chromosome tests. I'm older, so the risks were higher. So happy I can breath a little better now :)

Have any of you ladies ever switched jobs while pregnant? I'm not switching companies, just a different position...I'm not going to tell them I'm pregnant, but how should I bring it up if I get the position? I feel like it would be awkward haha!

Quoting jacobslilmommie:" Thank you!!! Thank you!!!! Everyone thought and predicted that I would have a girl, including the doctor. I had a feeling baby was a boy :) A mothers instinct."

Question, was this testing part of the down syndrome? I got an order for that, so will I get the gender with the results?

I wouldnt tell them unless pregnancy would keep you from performing the job. Its none of their business and they cant pass you over because of pregnancy.

. Well had my first high risk appointment today, 14 weeks and 2 days. My blood pressure is slightly up, will have to watch :/ I've gained 13 pounds, and baby measuring a bit big, (still need to take my second glucose test). All feet, hands, organs look perfect though! Sending me for the chromosome testing in a few days too. I see regular obgyn on the 15th, and back to high risk on May 2 (hopefully see gender)! Will try to upload pics later, baby was waving, it was cute.

Yes! Since we are over 35 the tests are more extensive; testing each chromosome for birth defects such as Down, Spina Bifida, or other genetic chromosome problems. The chromosomes show the gender.

It's amazing how this is all done by the mothers blood. Rather that amniocentesis. All based on proteins and hormones in the blood. The tests are called Triple and Quad Screening.

What kind of car? We bought a 2009 Toyota Corolla in December. I am really hoping that I can fit 3 car seats in the back seat
