Hi all. Happy Mother's Day!

My son is so cute. The first thing he said to me this morning was, "Mommy, let me see your belly button! <gasp> It's so teeny tiny!! When it gets littler the baby will come out."

He is so amused by my ever shrinking belly button. lol

Quoting Skinny Cow:" Went in for my anatomy scan and baby looked great...... HOWEVER. I found out I have placenta previa ... [snip!] ... I see my Dr. on Thursday but what should I expect? I know there is at least one mama in this thread that has it.. any advice or"

It's too early to diagnose placenta previa, the placenta can migrate even after 30 weeks. The most they can say is that your placenta is low, or your placenta is covering your cervix right now. This has happened to me in 3 of my pregnancies and each time it definitely moved up, although it was still close with my third, he was born vaginally with no issues. Contractions are contractions are contractions...It doesn't matter if they call them braxton hicks or "real", they are all your uterus contracting, the only difference between BH or the "real" thing is that real ones will thin and dilate your cervix. It's not the contractions being different in quantity or quality, it is the end result that changes the way we label them. Did they say your cervix was changing?
All this to say, I wouldn't be worried :) Have you seen your doctor yet?

oh my gosh I thought I was only four pages behind and was going to catch up but I think I'm like 11!

I hope all of you are having fantastic Mother's Days. My kids are doing something downstairs that I am not allowed to see so I'm just up in my room with the baby waiting...

Anyone having a lot of period like cramping at this later stage? I expect to have it in early pregnancy and am used to getting it in late pregnancy with all my ptl but I've never experienced it in the middle.

I can't even find the top of my uterus yet so I don't think mine is all the way upright yet but all my cramping is really down low. I know they say you can't feel your cervix but I'm getting alot of the cramping where I imagine I would feel it if I could feel my cervix, and then of course also in the usual lower pelvic areas that you would expect to get period like cramping.
