Quoting Supafly★:" Yeah it is. But don't worry about it. If the baby doesn't gain weight it's FTT. But if he only gained ... [snip!] ... But if he only gained half an ounce it's not. So it's a pretty broad spectrum. Is he more active since his last appointment? "

If her pedi is not worried about it, then what should she do? Most pediatricians freak out when they drop in percentile.

Not all pediatricians are the brightest crayon in the box. When my son stopped climbing up the chart, she said M and I were basically neglecting and starving our son because he had not been eating solids at that time. Just drinking breast milk.

What about height?
Also, what's his diet like? Is he getting enough formula or breastmilk?

Right, because it is a sign that something is not right :?

Not gaining at 6 months is one thing, LOSING is quite another.
One that a doctor needs to determine the cause of.

Quoting LEGENDARY JAS ♥:" Don't be sad honey, hopefully you and your pedi can come up with a plan. My son stopped gaining (he ... [snip!] ... shot back up when he was 12 months. He's still a thin boy but he's tall. Has his height been going up, even just a little bit?"

I don't think so. He was 28 1/2 inches at 6 &9 month well child apointments we have not gone to 12 month one yet.

I can agree with that, that's why I'm trying to get more information. Every baby gains weight differently. DS doubled his birth weight in 4 months and has gained like, a pound since.

What are his eating habits like? Sorry for all of the questions lol. I've been through this so I'm just trying to help.

Agree with this but I'm saying she shouldn't freak out if the baby is healthy otherwise. Every baby gains weight differently. I would certainly hope she is bringing up these issues with the pedi since technically it is FTT.

Maybe he needs less food and more BM.

He eats breakfast, lunch, dinner and two snacks with my older kids. I feel like his diet is pretty healthy. Breakfast this morning he had half a bannana, yogurt and toast and jam. Snack this morning he had crackers and cheese.

His well child apointment is in two weeks and I am going to talk to his Pedi about this. I am supper worried about it!
He has always had abnormal blood work that no one can figure out. I am concerned that he may be really sick.
