Deny your 4 year old water an hour before bed? I dont see a problem with him having water. But the other night he was having something go on to where he had to go potty a lot. Not sure if it was just an excuse to get our of his room or what. But now DH doesnt wanna let our 1 or 4 year olds have anything to drink.

For a 4 year old? I don't see a problem with saying nothing after a certain time. My nephew has been told he can't have anything after 6 pm. I didn't let my youngest have anything to drink an hour before bedtime when she was potty training. Now it's not an issue.

I would never ever deny a child water. Ever.

Yeah unless he kept asking, then I would just give him a little bit. He's 3 1/2 and has only been potty trained for a few months so I generally never let him have anything to drink after 7:00. He never asks though.

It's a pretty common potty training rule to not allow liquids an hour before bed time.

My nephew has been potty trained for over a year as well, but his mom still says nothing after 6.
