Habit or growth spurt? GrumpsMama 1 child; Whiskey Dick Mountain, WA, United States 16107 posts

Last....3 nights LO has woken up in the middle of the night asking for food.

He eats before bed, I make sure he's fed.
After about 3-4 hours of sleeping he wakes up like he is starving. He will eat something like a PB&J and a cup of milk. Or a bowl of cereal. I've been far too tired to actually make him something.
After that he goes back to sleep and wakes up at his normal time. He's been eating a lot of food lately.
Also, he is almost 22 months old

I don't want this to turn into a habit

Growth spurt.
Increasing his omega 3 intake could help aswel as his protein before bed. Omega 3 especially because this is when they have the vocab explosion and cognitive spurts and they often bf or eat more to get the nutrients conducive to brain growth.

He had a lot of growth spurts from just before 2 till 3 yrs, he went from being small for his age to big and he had a couple of phases where he had to eat more before bed/at night.

Oh, cool. I'm going to try and order some as soon as SO comes home.
What else kind of vitamins do you give LO? I wanted to start him on Flinstones, but I had always thought he was too little

Just those ones mainly, they are from age 3 so i gave him half the dose starting from age 2.

Sometimes i give him probiotics from Biocare. In winter i give him Vit D3 and if he's starting to get sick or if we've been around any sickness then i give him sodium/magnesium Ascorbate for a few days.
