Its height and weight. Most kids will outgrow a seat by height way before weight. My infant seat went up to 30 inches and 30lbs.

I just read the side of the carseat today and that is what it says so I switched, I love him being in the carrier one but it does get heavy carrying him too. Not the reason I switched to stop anyone from saying that in advance

He was 10lbs 1 oz and 22 inches long. He is prepositional and all his dad is just big being 6'2. Logan big sister was big just not this fast and now she is skinny and very tall.

My son was 9.13, but got down to 9.5 before leaving the hospital! He was also 22 inches long. Did you have to have a c-section?

Nope but he got stuck bad, they were getting ready to push his head back in and run for a C-section. Thankfully the doctor stayed calm and was able to pull his arm out and get it unstuck. He came out with a decreased heart rate but is very healthy now, just a big baby.

How long was you in a labor...Did you have a hard time dilating?

I had contractions for 2 weeks just he wouldn't drop to dilate. Kept going to the hospital and they would send me home. They know why now he was not 8lbs like they thought at all. I was only in that oh my god i have to go to the hospital now labor for 10 hours and they almost sent me back home until my water broke.

Quoting Brandi Lynn White:" Question so my son is too big for the infant car seat so we moved him to a convertible and I dont know ... [snip!] ... anything to just sit them in for stores and stuff. I can't really use a sling or warp since he is heavy and I have a bad back. "

you can get infant sitting carseats at walmart

I was dilating 2 when they broke my water 8 hours later I was a 4 and they wouldn't let me lay not longer so they told me they was gonna do a c-section!....I really wish I would have told him no, but I was so out of it from the spinal block that I didn't! After having him and know other people that laid 24 hours with their water broke and got to have there baby makes me so mad at that Doctor! I'm hoping my next baby I can try to VBAC!

That sucks that they did that to you, I hope for you to be able to have a great delivery next time. I heard it is not as risky anymore and I agree that they should have held off and let you wait longer.

You could still use the infant seat in the store, just not the car.
