If I need to let someone know when to leave or that I'm at their house, I'll write the message out before leaving and just hit send. My phone is a pretty simple phone so it's not like an iPhone where I need to unlock it to do anything.

I only talk on the phone if I need to know something right then. It pisses me off when I see people texting, when they pass me. Just kind of like "you're putting my life and my son's endanger. you're a prick."

Yeah, sometimes I don't like it because there's zero privacy and whatever, but, eh. I usually only call or answer if it's important.

That's why it's more important to pay attention to your surroundings than yourself, really. Watch what other cars do. If you're entirely focused on yourself and your driving, you're gonna miss the swerving guy coming down the other lane.

How it comes through the car speakers and everyone in the car can hear.

Quoting Michael Westen:" I live in South Dakota. Of course I talk on the phone while I'm driving! And occasionally I will text using Siri."

I tried that once but it kept getting my text wrong so it was pointless :)

I've texted while sitting at a red light, quickly, if I really needed to. I don't answer the phone unless I'm stopped, and just long enough to say I'll call them back.
