Quoting Mommie Dearest.:" You should like you own a model of my brother. He actually thinks he wants a kid though. I've had two ... [snip!] ... up with him because she doesn't see a point in dating someone that's never there. Plus , she's paying all the bills, haha!"

Whoa! Do brothers come in clones or something? That sounds way too much like him.

He doesn't want a kid, though. Kids=some form of responsibility...I know he was surprised when I got pregnant, even though I was married and all that stuff...Our conversation was basically something along the lines of how nice it was that we were having kids, but wouldn't that tie us down?

Lol, sounds like a good time to break up. It sounds like he's almost trying to get the best of both worlds for himself, without dealing with any of the crap that comes with it.

I actually have her number, though, so I'm tempted to call her. I'm curious about what kind of girl would end up with my brother...:D

It would be really nice of you to contact her. my kids have different dads, neither are involved, but I'm close to both families. I'm actually living with my eldest daughter's aunt until Feb.

If the dad has to be crappy, it's at least nice if they have good families.

I think I will!

I didn't want to come across as a creepy stalker, which was why I was undecided about whether or not I'd call her. I didn't want to totally wierd her out. So do I just say that I'm his sister, and I just wanted to see how it was going? Is that excessively creepy? :D

I'd probably try to message her on fb first, since that way she can think it over and sort out her feelings first instead of being put on the spot. Or text her first so she's free to not respond if she's not sure how she wants to handle your family.

I'm one of those wierdos that don't have Facebook...:D But I will text her first. Do I make it open for her to call me, or just start it off by texting? And do I ask her questions, or just introduce myself?

I'm sorry, I'm going to put your experience to use here. :) I want to be supportive, but I don't want to totally alienate her.

I think it'd be nice if you just say "hey, I'm x's sister, y. I know x isn't as excited for this as one would hope, but I would love to get to know you and be involved with the baby if you're open to it." And go from there.

Idk though, I already knew and liked this baby's aunt before my ex walked out, so we already had a bit of a relationship built up.
