That's my guess as well...

I can respect the pro-choice stance as well. And I think that's the key to actually getting somewhere in discussions, is having respect for the choices other people make.

I get seriously pissed off when people pull the God card as an excuse to be judgemental. I see it so many times, and as a Christian, I honestly have to apologize that it can be used as an excuse to judge other people. I am sorry that people who share my faith feel that this is ok.

No kidding...

I've gotta go check on Abby...see if she's still breathing. :D I still do breath checks on her when she's napping...Maybe I'll cool down.

I never responded to this post to incriminate anyone or continue a conversation that obviously we have strong opinions on. To say "your mother should have aborted you" is a cruel statement but yet again, the acceptance of a stranger is not my cup of tea. I rather much be being productive in my online classes right now than productive in typing on a forum.

Lol DD is 3 and I still go in during the night and do breath checks. And if I can't see or hear her breathing I'll put my hand on her back to feel if she's breathing. I'm so paranoid.

So am I!! The first night I brought her home, I did not sleep at all. I stayed by her cradle the entire night, and every time I couldn't hear her breathing I freaked.

Jess, you still have not answered my question. Do you have children?

Quoting Colton's Butterfly:" Jess, are you actually a mother? Do you have children? Guess what, I am a God fearing woman as well. And you know what, you are exactly the kind of Christian I strive to not be like."

I have worked with the youth for 13 years and and have loved those children more than you can comprehend. I have seen happy children, hurt children, neglected children, and children who need a loving hand to guide them. I have not physically conceived a child due to infertility. That does not disregard me as a care taker, or a mother t heart. Some of those children have it better through the day than they do at their own house. I am in the process of adoption and I will be a mother to put my child first.

I call it for what the Bible says. I apologize if I am comfortable enough in my faith to be vocal of Godly values. We are all wired differently to be what God called us to be. I may be more vocal but that does not justify our faith as being less or more valued or politically correct.

I know! It is nice to have a conversation about a subject but when people start that stuff it gets annoying.

Thanks, I have broad shoulders. There are a few things in life that conversation should not detail but I am a talker and not deliberately being "disrespectful".

Where does the Bible call us to judge the wounded? Where does the Bible call for us to stand in judgement of the choices of others?

Cause you know what? Jesus befriended the worst of sinners. He loved them without judgement. He saw their faults, but did not love them any less for it...He didn't get up in arms about the issues of the day...He loved them and was a friend to them. And because of that, people began to change.

It's not a matter of being vocal about our faith. It's a matter about judging the sinner, rather than the sin. That is God's place, not ours. He is the one who told us not to judge. He is the one who judged those who were judgemental.

How can we be a witness if we cannot lay down our pride, and admit that we are wrong in the way we carry ourselves? How can we call ourselves Christians, and yet not model ourselves after the founder and perfector of our faith?

Do I agree with abortion? No. I don't. But I also do not agree with those who have the audacity to judge the women who have had an abortion.

It really is! It's also nice to have conflicting views, and to be able to discuss them in a civil manner. I think that's a sign of maturity. :D

I am not judging. Opinions and values is all I stated. Why is it a person can make a statement and its judging but if a fact is thrown out, it is validated?

She brought really valid points... I guess you are one of those god fearing people that like to pick and choose things out of the bible.
