Quoting regina_margot:" here is what i'm saying: there are no states in america that REQUIRE a rear facing seat, for an infant ... [snip!] ... know. i DO know that it is NOT against the law to have your infant in a booster seat, as long as the infant is "restrained""

It is the LAW to have your child RFing until they reach 1 year and 20lbs :?

Flordia LAW:

Florida law requires children under 5 years of age to be PROPERLY restrained

Infants must ride rear-facing until they are at least one year old and weigh 20 pounds or more

Violation of the child restraint law carries a fine of $60 and 3 points on the driving record

But loom at the requirements for the booster. The 10 month old DOES NOT meet those requirements

That its one AND twenty pounds
Not either or

And that she needs to follow the guilines on the seat
That seat is for 30 pounds and age 3

And if she still doesn't listen then oh well.

You've done what you can. If something happens to her child it's on her, not you

I told her about the and part and I told her I know she would never put her baby in any danger so to just really look into it. She's a really good mom, she's just not very informed on this :(

Yup!

Better to have said something and hope nothing happens

Can you imagine if you haven't said anything and her daughter got hurt? You would hate yourself
