Staying wet during sex. Dude, you Fugly! 18 kids; Winston-Salem, North Carolina 19869 posts

Ugh, this is so embarrassing but oh well. Every since I started having sex, I've always had a hard time getting wet and staying that way... normally causing me some pain during and for sure after sex. The only time I get really good and wet is when I'm ovulating and the sex is AMAZING! I want it to be like that every time. Me and SO absolutely hate using lubes. I've tried so many and they all leave me sticky or it itches/burns. Plus SO doesn't like it, because it does feel "natural". I think I'm hormonal imbalanced or something, because it also takes me a lot to get in the mood, even though I'm very attracted to my SO and he is great in bed as well, so I know it's not him. I'm so embarrassed to go to the doctor and talk to him about this lol, but I think I should to help my sex life because I feel like it gets worse the older I get.

Anyone have the same problem? Did you go to the doctor? Did he put you on meds? How well did it work?

It happens to me sometimes, too. :( Have you tried just plain ol' KY Jelly? It shouldn't burn or leave a sticky feeling.

I'm the same way since having my oldest.
It takes me forever to get "wet" and within a matter of minutes.. I'm not anymore.
My doctor mentioned after the baby, doing a test to see if I'm lacking a hormone or something like that. They have RX lube he wants me to try after the baby is here.

Spit is the way to go! I hate lube. I just had my son in December & I have been having the same issue.

I've never been able to get real wet. It's so bad that I can't even use condoms, even with lube, they break about 80% of the time because I get too dry. That's just my body. Now, the last few years I'm like you, not being able to get in the mood even though I'm attracted to my DH. We just use spit, it's gross but like you said, lubes are super sticky and oral is out of the question after using it. After I had LO and had a hard time because of decreased estrogen from breastfeeding, they told me to try using olive oil. DH didn't want to try it but I tried it with my B.O.B. and it seemed to work very nicely.

I am super annoyed about having no sex drive right now though and am just trying to deal with it and make myself do it. DH thinks I plan ways to get out of sex too!! It's rediculous! He was at work all day yesterday and when he called me to chat I told him my sciatic nerve is killing me for some reason and he asked if I was setting up for getting out of sex this dude, that never even crossed my mind!!! Poor guy doesn't get laid very often though so I can't get mad.

You should try system jo personal lubricants, it does not feel like a normal lube. They are glycerine free, silicon free and oil free. I use them because they are for sensitive skin and they feel amazing. Honestly it feels better than natural. It is so soft and silky. My SO was like OMG when I first tried it out. It can be bought it specialty stores.

Try just plain ol coconut oil for lube. It works wonderfully.

Do you drink 8 to 12 glasses of water a day? That is where you should start. If you aren't getting enough water you want produce natural lube. Also it is common to struggle getting wet while breastfeeding. Make sure you drink enough water.
