Does anyone have any experience with it? It was prescribed for my 2 yr old for chest congestion. Normally, he is pretty good about taking his medicine (Tylenol or whatever), but this one doesnt have a fruity flavor lol. (Because of his age, he was given the liquid form) He gags and spits it out, so would it have the same effect if I mix it to dilute it? Like I've mixed it in his cereal, and today he was eating some pears, so I mixed a little bit of the juice from the can with it. Is this ok, or does it need to be given straight?

Iwould assume at as long as he is getting the whole dose he should be fine.

My mom used to do this for us. I think as long as he is still getting the right amount, it should be okay.

You can also try mixing it in a spoonfull of applesauce. I think the only issue would be is if you mix it into a large amount and he doesn't eat/drink it all then he doesn't get it all. Also say he takes 20 mins to finish it all then the timing of dosing him could get off. Just make sure you mix it into small amounts for the above reasons. YOu can always call the pharmacy and ask them for help :)
