You can still live here legally while waiting to become an official citizen. There is a process, but it can happen. My friends were here legally as they waited.

And I don't necessarily think the military thing is the solution to the problem, but an option I've heard others throw out there.

I know some people can live here and wait but I think they've already been screened or given a visa or green card. I know someone that fled Yugoslavia and then more recently Greece. He came on a student visa and never went back. His family came on tourist visas and they all just kind of disappeared into the US. We hear from him from time to time. But we all know they just kid of fled. They were upset with the wait times. But I think their circumstance may be different because they were already displaced refugees they weren't citizens of Greece.

i live in an area where 90%-95% of the people here are ILLEGALS. Now I dont have a problem with it by any means, but should they work for the more they are trying to earn: Yes. however alot of them dont.

We lock our illegal immigrants up in huge detention centres until they can be processed and either given refugee status or shipped back to where they come from. It costs the tax payers millions of dollars ... then again it would probably cost even more if we gave them all the benefits that are usually awarded to citizens.

In a way I agree with both of them

I think I'm going to go break into someone's house, eat their food and call it home. Then, when the owner of the home tries to press charges, I will fight it, saying that I don't have another place to go. Nevermind that I broke in and then stole from you. You should feel sorry for me! I mean, the ends always justify the means.

Freedom should mean that we are free to break the law, right?

Technically unless you are full blooded Native American you broke their laws by coming here taking their land, raping them, and infecting them with small pox infected blankets. So it kinda seems like you broke into someone else's house to begin with then attempted to make it so no one else not even the actual owners of the home could come in and join you.

I am NOT an illegal immigrant.

People, from the beginning of time have seized land from other people. My family members DIED, both while establishing this country and fighting in civil/international wars, to defend this country.

Generations of my family have paid taxes and served in the military.

By your logic, illegal immigrants should come here and take this country by force? Shall we just let them have it? That would be okay with you?

Illegal immigrants aren't the ones who have fought and died for this country.

Poor, poor argument.

That's just bullshit.
Illegals don't get food stamps or medicaid, some people should so some research.
If they give illegals a status, this country will make a shit load of money!
Just for one person ro get a green card we are talking $6,000 dls that go to USCIS.
I'm talking from my own experience,
& Illegals pay taxes too.

My sister knows someone that stole someone's SSN to get benefits. She is an illegal, not working, getting food stamps, cash assistance, and other benefits. She just got married though so I'm sure she will be getting legal status soon.

Here you can't get benefits like that. You have to show SSN and Birth certificate. even if you only have one they still don't give you benefits until you show both documents, I have never received government benefits! I'm just not allowed.
- If she stole some ones SSN i don't know much about it but when you go through immigration processes, is like getting investigated by the FBI!, you can't have any criminal history at all and they will find out everything even if its just a trafic ticket they will know about it even if you dont tell them. You even go through medical exams, finger prints and many other things.. They don't grant you a GC that easy.

I wanted to turn her in for stealing someones SSN but my sister won't give me any of her information. I don't even know the chicks name just her husband's first name. Honestly, I don't even know why she didn't just apply for a citizenship because she had a kid here. My understanding is that it's easier to get a citizenship if your child is legal?? (Could totally be wrong on that though)

You can, but only if her child is 18 years old or older!
I have three kids born here ''If i would of try to get my status fixed though them, i would have to wait until they are 18 years old''
-my husband is white american born here, so i fixed mine through him.

I always imagine the people that create images like this for Facebook are sitting in their RV in the middle of the woods while watching a Nascar race, practicing banjo barefoot on the front porch while talking about, "The good ol' days of segregation."

If you truly think illegal immigrants have it that good, you are a self-righteous bigot.
