DD is 2 1/2 and still RFing. we have no plans on changing that any time soon. she has a radian so she will stay the way she is until she hits the limits of the seat! :D

When Alba's born, she'll be RF (obviously) in an infant seat (Britax B-Safe) until she's about 7 months or so...whenever she starts to get too heavy to carry around in that thing & it's more beneficial to just take her out of the seat. Then we'll upgrade to a convertible car seat (Britax Pavilion 70-G3) and she will RF until she's at least 3...unless she outgrows it before then.

I made DH agree to this so when the time comes, he can't suddenly act like he's caught off-guard or anything and try to switch it up (which is what my SIL's DH did). So far, he seems to be very on-board with the ERF decision, which I love. He's even said he thinks it's stupid that they FF'd our niece, Emi before she hit 2 officially "just for convenience".

Liam is 18 months on the 12th and still rear facing and will be till 40lbs or 40in and then harnessed till 65lbs ffacing.

It's sad almost all my friends turned their kids at a year old. And put their kids in huge coats in car's but guess most 14-18 years old dont do their research on carseat safety. I'm thankful for this site because I learned so much from you all.

P.s yes I have a friend (15 years old) who I know turned her kid at like 6 months because she wouldn't ride in the car without screaming and she was like 16lbs. It's asking for a death wish I swear.

I would be clueless about a lot of it weren't for this site :(

And I totally could have left Bug RF longer. He didn't mind at all, he was used to it. But he went with my aunt once for the day and she had him FF whenever they were in the car. He would cry and make himself throw up after that. :x

Me too. I even installed it for her! She just turned it around "so he could be like the rest of the kids". I mean, I know she doesn't really know the difference as far as safety reasons, we never got into that. But I was pretty upset that she turned him around against my wishes.

That is crazy. You know how those 1 year olds are worried about peer pressure and stuff... :/

Seriously hope my mom doesn't try to pull this on me. I don't think she will, but I'll be so mad if she does.

Haha I straight u told everyone his rear facing up to 40lbs my dad made a joke saying he'll be in it till his 10, and I'm like yeah because the seat does go up to 10years old as a booster.

I don't care if his friends aren't in carseats. My kid won't be died when his neck is snapped from being thrusted forward. I wrote a paper over carseats\seatbelts on buses for college, cause it something I strongly believe in.

And I post a rear facing picture on Facebook every month
