Hpt vs dr office test Live the life you love Due June 10; 1 child; 1 angel baby; Texas 172 posts

I went to the dr today because I've been sick ( its the flu, boo :/ ) and I told them I might possibly be pregnant when they started talking antibiotics and whatnot. I am about 10 dpo and I took an hpt this morning (I'm very anxious) that came up negative. I told her all of this and she asked of I wanted a pregnancy test, and I said yes thinking she was going to do a blood test because I had told her how early it was. But it was a dip test, that was also negative.

Now I was under the impression that a hpt is as good as a dip test at the dr? Am I right?
If so, could I possibly be pregnant and just testing too early?

i was under the impression that the tests you take at home are usually just about as accurate as the doctor's office. only a blood test would be more accurate. that's just what i understood.

Yeah they are usually the same... in fact, some dr offices use $1 tree or walmart tests... so a FRER may even be better.

But yeah, it could be too early.

I hope you feel better soon though.

Home pee tests and doctor pee tests are the same. Literally.

Blood tests are most accurate though.
