So I have surgery on feb 12th to get all four of my wisdom teeth cut out and I am afraid of two things.
1. Being sedated
2. Saying something stupid to my SO when I wake up from my surgery.

Tell me your stories. Did you say anything crazy after you got your wisdom teeth out?

No, but as soon as the anesthesia hit my veins, I started laughing like a maniac... until I passed out. That's all I remember. I had 8 teeth removed all at once. The recovery wasn't that bad, but I looked like a hamster for a few days.

I just had a crap load of locals and it went alright. I refuse to be sedated.

I had all four of mine done in 2008 and was put out.

Typically they don't let anyone in the room until you wake up, for that reason and many others.

I've been with family members three times to have it done and never have let me back until they're mostly awake.

To be honest it sucks!
Number one rule, KEEP UP on the pain meds, set an alarm and wake up and take them or you will be sore and there is no going back if you miss a dose.
Go shopping, get lots of pudding, jello, soft easy to swallow foods.

Are you being completely put to sleep? I was and when I woke up I got sick. Didn't say anything though. Was too groggy, nauseous and tired to do anything.

I had my two bottom ones out and they wouldn't sedate me, I was nervous as hell and crying. They gave me some kind of relaxer thing to suck on before sitting in the chair. And just local anesthetics

I remember getting set up and then my friend shaking me awake and telling the nurses I needed pain meds. I got home and was so out of it from the meds for like two days. I remember my friend or SO coming in to wipe my chin because of the blood lol

Why would you say something crazy?
The only thing I remember from the anesthesia with my wisdom teeth was waking up soo cold.. I couldn't stop shaking, I had to be practically carried to the car and I fell asleep on and off the whole car ride.
Have you ever been put to sleep?

People say all sorts of crazy stuff when they're being put under/coming around again. It's funny. :D

I refused to be sedated when I had mine cut out. Just shots in my gums to numb and it wasn't bad at all. In and out in a hour or so and I was eating again the next day.

I was sedated. When I woke up I talked and laughed and talked and laughed. lol. I had no bad experience with being put out. I did get a dry socket later, but that could happen either way.

Good luck.

I thought i was the only one who had 8 teeth removed all at once! I was fully sedated aswell, but waking up and recovery was a bit harsh. I was so swollen. Gives me chills remembering.

I danced all over the office and then proceeded to try an screw my husband in the bathroom. I have no memory of this.
My friend worked at this office & when I saw her & I opened my arms to hug her and said baaaaabbbbbbby.
I was knocked out completely. Tey gave me some crucial stuff. Plus, I got the pleasure of looking like Tony Soprano for 2 weeks.

I don't remember it being that bad. All I took was Ibuprofen for pain and I ate applesauce for 2 days. My mouth was too small for all of my teeth, lol.
