HELP!!! 9 month old having MEGA tantrums. Jessicka Mobbs Due July 13; 2 kids; Wrexham, United Kingdom 23 posts

Last weekend George was very poorly with a throat infection, over the week he has gotten better but also managed to push 3 teeth through.
Since he has been feeling better he has been having maga screaming fits. I means there is no warning to them, he just SCREAMS.
It's getting me a bit stressed, as he is waking at night and doing the same thing.
I go though the usual check list of issues it could be and nothing changes it. He's not stopped all day.
He tried fighting a nap this afternoon, so I swaddled him and eventually he gave in.
Is this just a faze, or is something wrong. His older brother has autism so I am so paranoid.
Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with tantrums. I'm currently letting him cry it out, which doesnt always work

HELP!!!!!

LOL at you thinking this is a tantrum. Wait until you have a toddler in meltdown

He is 9 months old. Don't let him cry it out. He is crying and screaming for a reason

Are you sure he doesn't have an ear infection? Or is teething?

Hes a baby.. He's going to scream and yell and throw fits.. especially when he is getting over a sickness AND teething. Letting him cry it out is probably not helping either. He is in pain.. Why don't you comfort him instead of letting a 9 month old just cry it out while he is in pain..

My daughter also has tantrums but she throws her self on the floor and kicks and hits the floor while crying. She is 9 months also. She also has a problem with biting when she doesn't get her way and pinching. but the last two are getting better as she gets older. I talked to the pediatrician and she told me to put her on the floor and walk away and ignore her. So far it has worked unless she is super tired. GL!

Trust me I have tried cuddleing him, he just flails about and screams at me. I have been a very attentive mum and letting him cry it out is my last resort. I am tired and emotional and get no help at home, I just wanted some help, not a judgement!
