Is it normal for newborns to hiccup literally Everytime the eat? Scarlytt is hiccuping after she eats every time. Idk if it's normal or if it can be something wrong. I read a baby center article that said it can be from reflux or other underlying conditions. So I wasn't sure if anyone else has dealt with this and has some insight.

My 1 month old hiccups after every feeding. Idk if she has reflux or not, but she is pretty gassy

My son had sever acid reflux and never hiccuped after eating or before my aunt's daughter did and her pedi told her the baby was getting to much air when feeding

Idk how she's get too much air :? She's bf so she's not swallowing any air like bottle fed babies do. Hmmm.

I was told that when babies get hiccups after you burp them, that means that you got all of the bubbles out.

Could be a wives tale, idk, all I know is that when he doesn't get the hiccups and I can't get more burps out, he often throws up all over the place about half an hour later.. If he does get hiccups he doesn't puke and he'll fall asleep after the hiccups go away lol.

My LO is bf too and she gets the hiccups every time. if I don't burp her, she will spit up right before the hiccups. But if she burps she only has hiccups. If that makes sense

This is exactly what she does. One she burps get hiccups. If she doesn't burp she spits up some milk.
Glad she's not the only one.

My DD was like that. She still gets that way sometimes. She had horrible hiccups in utero.
