Quoting Squeaky McGee [25 wks]:" So, I made a baby registry for myself. Is that cheesy? I'm not having a shower, but I want some place to save the baby items I'm interested in."

I would never make one. I think registries are good for weddings but not for baby gifts. But im sure lots of people do. And if its just a place to keep stuff you want for yourself or if a family member asks i would prob do that too. But i wouldnt ever tell a buncha people hey i registered go check it out like assuming i was getting stuff from them lol.

Mommy: Yeah. I'm still feeling like it's too good to be true that she's doing this... I'm scared she's going to back out at the last minute x-x. I THINK she needs the labor time because she's going to school for midwifery so... hopefully she's legit. haha

Stef: I made one ages ago for that very reason... <.< >.> I just printed out a list and checked off what I have and marked what I need yet.

Congrats on the Big Red Numbers. haha

Lindsey: I think it's the culture. I've always seen people register for babies. People want to know what they need yet. It's easier to do that than try to tell evvveryone what you need yet and hope not to tell people the same thing twice. Not everyone follows a registry when buying gifts though.

I just made it because I was looking at cribs and travel systems at work last night and I came across a few that I really liked, and I wanted to show DH, so I put them in a registry. I'm not planning on being like, "hey, buy me things, people!", lol. Even when I made a registry for my shower, I felt greedy. I just put small items on it and DH and I bought all of the large items.

Anyway, you're 28 weeks tomorrow! Yay! Are you in the third trimester now, or is that tomorrow?

It's almost 60 degrees today! I wanted to take Lola to the zoo, but I didn't even get home from work until 9, so I just got up. By the time I take a shower and go pick her up, the zoo will be closed. Stupid work. :(

I totally get that. I would do that too! I know people that send out cards and stuff saying that they are registered. I just dont like it. I feel like they are being greedy.
And i read that 27 is considered the 3rd so ive been saying im in the 3rd trimester for a few days :)

Yeah, I thought it was 27, too, but some say 28, so who knows! Either way, you don't have too long to go!

I miss my husband. a lot. he's out of town for awhile. I haven't been able to talk to him either because my battery for my phone is dead. I am prayin' it arrives today. I did a few things today that has left me exhausted. I still need to run back into town but I don't have the energy for it. DS is on his way to his dads so I will have him back probably Tuesday night or Wednesday morning

That's what I did too. Just put small things on it cuz I figure people wouldn't buy the big stuff anyway lol and this time I'm using it to save things I want like you're doing. Before my shower/diaper party I will just put all f the diapers on it that I need since we are going to cloth diaper and I need a stash
