I'm a server and on a Saturday I will walk for a good 5 hours straight.
I'm trying to figure out how many calories I would burn doing this.

I tried MFP and it said 1143 calories while walking 2.5 miles per hour (leisurely pace)

Do you think this is accurate??

*even when I put in slow pace, 2.0 MPH it says 953 calories.

I'm not asking if these are accurate, I just want to know which one I should go by?

I would say that sounds high, especially since you won't be moving continuously for 5 hours. You'll be starting and stopping a lot.

Yeah, but the servers still have to stop to take orders and to deliver food and what not. Not saying you don't move a lot, but it's not continuous, you know? The key to burning calories is keeping the heart rate up.

Yes, I do know this, that's why I also have an elliptical in my kitchen. :)
I would say it is pretty continuous for about 3 hours, during the really really busy times!! From 5-8 PM.

Some of those trays can probably get pretty heavy!

Look into getting a FitBit. It will track your movements and pretty accurately calculate your calories burned.
It interfaces with my fitness pal too!
