My period was supposed to come on the 31st and it didn't. Im not crampy at all wich is unusual. We were ttc really hard this month by using opks, pree seed, and soft cups. I got my surge on the 17th and again on the 27th which is weird. I have no idea if I actually ovulated on either of those days though. The last pregnancy test I took was the day before my expected period and it was negative so I think Im probably out of luck because Ive always got early positives but where is my period...? Maybe I did ovulate with the second surge? Idk kinda being hopeful I guess

I did the same thing this cycle. I got my positive opk on CD 19 and some twinging on the right side but not that bad then it went away as fast as it came. Two days later I got some strong twinging on my left side which hardly ever happens. If I would have ovulated on CD19 I should have seen af yesterday but she never showed. I should see her today or tomorrow if I ovulated when I felt the twinging on the left side. If I don't see her then I know it's because I did not ovulate at all again. I have gone 3 cycles ovulating normally. The way to tell if you ovulate normally is if your cycles come on time and mine did. The docs are saying I have PCOS but I barely have any symptoms of it but every few cycles I won't ovulate and it throws me off. I use opks and they work fine with me. So hopefully you did ovulate the second time.

You can get positive opks and still not ovulate. The only way to know for sure if you ovulate is to temp each morning starting CD1. Also I know if I ovulate because my periods are on time each month. I'm gonna start temping as soon as this period starts. I stopped using opks this month now I don't know if I even ovulated.

well baby dust to us. :) ugh temping seems like an annoying/ confusing process but it will probably be my next step if this cycle doesn't work out.

Believe me it is annoying. They want you to temp at the same time or close to the same time everyday. That works great during the week since we wake at the same time because I got to put my son on the bus but on the weekends we don't always wake up at 7:15. Some days i have to be at work for 6am so that throws me off too. But I'm gonna start temping as soon as AF decides to show her darn face. I wish she'd hurry up. I hope with this PCOS stuff it don't decide to start skipping. I've never gone a month without a period before.

Quoting Sarah24Michelle:" "

If you're getting a positive on the ovulation test you should be getting a positive on an hpt also. They usually pick up the same amount of hormone. Normally 25miu. I know that is how much the Answer brand ovulation tests pick up. I would see about getting a blood test done at this point just to see. I went 11 days late and it turned out that I didn't ovulate which caused my period to come late.

Well you have different levels of LH in your system each month but to get 2 or more surges is really not normal. The only way I can see you having that is if you'd have PCOS because that'll cause that or your body is trying to ovulate so it tries then doesn't ovulate and keeps trying again. Those are just some things I've read up on.

They do a series of tests. They will do an u/s to check your ovaries for cysts, hormone levels, and ask you questions about your cycles and things like that. They also look for other symptoms.
