Well if the media can't use it to push an agenda it won't get coverage. There's tons of stuff that doesn't get media coverage that should.

I read about that case. Our youth are so corrupt nowadays. Poor kid.

I feel just as bad for her as I did for Trayvon.. A lot of stuff doesn't get published this isn't the first story that hasn't hit the head lines and i'm sure it won't be the last. Poor girl I feel for her parents that's cruel... :(

A lot of stories don't get international coverage. Children go missing every day, but only a few make head line news it seems. I'm not sure what makes a story HLN worthy or not. But this doesn't surprise me.

I'd like to know why it matters that it was two black brothers who killed a white girl..???

And yes - Casey Anthony got a year's worth of press & over 600 children die at the hands of their mothers every single year. Some shit gets played up & other stuff never gets any press.

I feel sad. Not because it wasn't covered, thousands of tragic stories aren't covered, but because a young girl died.

I tend to ignore this kind of stuff because it irritates me. I didn't even follow the Trayvon Martin case since everyone seemed to be making it about race and pictures just like this (probably made by white people who felt slighted) were popping up all over.

It doesn't matter...

I think the point is that the Trayvon case got so much attention BECAUSE of the racism injected into it. Zimmerman was a pure racist, doncha know? Trayvons killing was racially motivated, right? That's what the media told us, anyway.

The media likes this game. It gets ratings because people buy into it.

And Casey Anthony got attention because she was cute. I get it - I don't need it explained why the media covers what they cover.

There are tons and tons of crimes happening every day, including murders.

Plenty of crimes don't get media attention, but plenty do.

I don't understand how that crime relates, at all, to Trayvon Martin. Aside from the fact that race is pointed out in each, to make someone's point.
