Quoting The Doctor:" I would tell both Taco Bell AND Mountain Dew. Tell Mt. Dew that by not "disclosing" what was in it, ... [snip!] ... an allergic reaction, so at least they can add warnings, or be more specific that people with allergies should not chance it."

I think it would need to be Pepsi co. Write to both!

Anything Tropical usually contains pineapple so I'd avoid it. But I would call Taco Bell and tell then what happen.

Quoting Stephanie ☀ Emmett:" It doesn't say pineapple on anything :\ they looked at the box, all it said was tropical storm and that ... [snip!] ... storm and that could be coconut, it doesn't say pineapple at all. It doesn't even say lime and that's what I tasted the most."

Both are tropical plants, though. I usually go for anything tropical, because it means pineapple is in it and I love pineapple.

<blockquote><b>Quoting Stephanie ☀ Emmett:</b>" baja blast is a mountain dew flavor.. so I guess I should probably talk to pepsi not mountain dew... because mountain dew is made by pepsi right?>"</blockquote>

Yes you talk to Pepsi. Taco Bell has nothing to do with it.

I though it was a Baja taco :(

I personally think the issue is with the Mt Dew/Pepsi company not Taco Bell. If it doesn't say it on the product how the hell would they know? KWIM? That is the company providing the products problem.

Quoting Stephanie ☀ Emmett:" Thank you! It's a new allergy so i'm still getting used to it. Tropical flavors are a definite no no now haha."

No problem.
I'm actualky pretty sure there are some other foods you should probably stay away from being allergic to pineapple. I know a lot of people with latex allergies will have a reaction to pineapple, bananas, kiwis and strawberries because they contain a protein almost identical to latex so the body assumes it's latex and vice versa.

Definitely write to Pepsi about it though as they own Mt. Dew.

From past working experience in a food place, I'd say "it MIGHT contain pineapple, but I am not sure". If I wasn't 100%, I would NEVER give a direct answer especially to someone with an allergy. I'd most deff be calling Taco Bell up today and letting them know what happened so they can properly educate their workers/employees.

Except the person read the box so it was safe for them to assume it didn't because the box said nothing of the sorts. If the person didn't try and read the ingredients you would be right but since they did it is the Pepsi companies fault not the person at Taco Bell.
