I have a bad case of pregnancy insomnia. Is there anything I can take, (preferably drink-like tea) that would help me sleep through the night or at least get me a few hours?

thats me. :) 18 kids; Edmonton, Alberta 3052 posts

Chammomile tea saved my life during my last pregnancy...

Diphenhydramine, *benedryl* is also safe...

This is night time sleep aid I use

Sleepy time tea works great for me too. And it tastes really yummy with a little bit of honey in it. Pastuerized of course.

I used to take a warm shower before bed, or my husband would massage my feet.

My 3rd was like that I wasn't uncomfortable or anything I just couldn't sleep id wake up hella early, and be up all day lay down and would lay there for hours like *wtf go to sleep* my dr. said chammomile was ok, I've used diff brands and, *Stash* is best kind... I still use it now, and that babys 17 months lol
And the benedryl they gave me for my anxiety, but he said I could use that also while preg and breastfeeding for insomnia.

I work nights so on my night off ii take that ^ sleep aid its like 4.00 at walmart I pop 2 and get my sleep on lol

Goodluck...:)
