We're still using DH's grandpa's ancient vacuum and it sucks. Doesn't pick up a damn thing. We have an inside dog now and he sheds and since the vacuum sucks most of his hair stays even after vacuuming. It's disgusting. DS is starting to roll around on the floor so I'm looking for a new vacuum.

So I need to know good vacuum brands/models, that are awesome at picking up pet hair, and don't cost a fortune. I'm going to try and use a little of what's left of our tax return so maybe a few hundred at most (which means no Dyson even that's what I'd love to have :( )

We have a Dyson that my parents got us for Christmas a couple years ago...it's not one of the ball ones but it's still awesome. I never realized how expensive they are until I looked it up just now

I was gonna say Dyson too. We have the Dyson cyclone for pet hair, and that thing works great. I think we got ours on sale for like 400. I don't remember though.

Wahhhh I want a Dyson :( well hopefully DH can get a loan for a truck instead of using the tax check so we'll have more left over. I doubt even then he'll want to spend that much though. Tight ass lol

I couldnt afford a dyson, so I looked into comparison vacuums. I found the shark and watched a million youtube videos compairing the too. The shark is actually really good (I wouldnt say exactly like the dyson, because dyson are great obviously.) Ive had it for about 3yrs now and its great! I only paid I think $150.00

I'll have to look into them. I've heard good things about sharks as well! And 150 is way more into my price range lol

Ya it was for us too, I really like it cause I have wood in more then 80% of my house. There is a setting for bare floors so it works on the wood and carpet.

I did a comparison, I vacuumed with my old vacuum and then the shark right over it. The shark container was FULL! After using the old vacuum. I was disgusted! lol
