Tummy time? Arks Mama! ಠ_ಠ 1 child; Utah 2399 posts7th Feb '13
How much/ for how long should you be doing tummy time a day? DS is 3 months old on the 12th, we do it sporadically. About every 3 hours for 10-15 minutes until he gets tired out. Is this enough? Too much?

As long as you can keep him off the same side of his head the better. Ben of its just him laying on your shoulder and lifting his head. Or Latin across your lap on a diff side of his head than he sleeps on.

That's probably more than we did, lol. LO would only last about 2 - 5 minutes each time because he hated it. really, just do as much as your LO will tolerate. I don't think there's a "too much".

That's true. He usually sleeps on his tummy at night, which makes me uncomfortable but he'll roll and be that way if I put him on his back while I'm asleep. -_-

I don't think you can do it too much. We would try and do DS every hour or so during times he was awake for as long as he would tolerate it. Even time laying on your chest is good too.

I did it for about 15 minutes per wake, but for the last week she hasn't been on her tummy at all- too sick
