To give my son to his father. After 2 years I finally saw how much he really lacked in fathering skills and relationship skills. He yells at my son. He doesn't change my son much. He barely feeds my son REAL food I am talking about he gives him toast for supper. Not anything actually real. My and my baby daddy got back together 2 months ago. He said he loved me I honestly believe that it was a big fat lie. On December 17th we had our court date in which we both agreed to joint which I swore on the bible. He refused to. Later on that month I was getting a huge sum of money for back pay on my child tax. Well with this money I paid his rent, his smoke habbit, his cell bill and even his child support. The night that we broke up our son had slipped and feel on water because the fridge needed to be shut off so it could melt because something was wrong with the defrost. Just so happened that this night was also the night that I ended up with no more money. I had maybe 100 on me. He told me he didnt love me. I told him this was the last straw. That he was done and I would be seeing him in court because clearly he was using me to get everything that he wanted and more. My mom decided to say some nasty things that are not untrue. He was called a low life for using me and a dead beat for once again kicking me and my 13 month old son out on the curb yet again. He then called my mom a cunt and told her to fucking die. I asked him do I talk to your mother like that? No i dont so what gives you the right. He said fuck you Sara, I replied with I will see you in court. My ex has sever mental problems. He believes he is skitzo and refuses to go get the help and medication that he needs to be on. I am scared because I watched him get mad at my son for playing during a diaper changing and I watched him not care about my son falling on a puddle of water in which he was asked to clean up. I don't want to give him my son because he is also now homeless, has nothing and I truly mean nothing to support my son with. He owes me 1000+ and owes his ex child support money as well. He can do anything he has admitted to almost wanting to punch me but now I have a court order that states he gets my son every weekend. What should I do? I really need help on trying to protect my child from a mentally unstable man. I feel like an IDIOT.

I wouldn't let your son go to him. Get a restraining order, he is clearly out of his mind and a danger to you and your child.

i'd call the local precinct, or department of family services, and ask them what your options are

Unfortunately, since there is a court order you do have to let him see your son. Although, I would see an attorney about getting that custody arrangement modified!!

If there is a court order there isn't much you can do as far as I know, I don't know a whole lot about it but can you file an appeal or ask the court to do a mental evaluation before letting him have him?

Take him back to court to fight it. Call CPS while he is over there if you know he isent caring for him, try to get a recording of him claiming he his schizo to use in court against him, demand he take parenting classes, ask for supervised visitation, tell child support enforcement you dont feel safe letting him over there, have family back it up.
