You do realize you can still get pregnant /even if you don't even have a fucking uterus/.

Yes, all the situations are sad, including rape and abortion.

But, in this society, pregnancy is seen as the mother's burden, and in many cases (especially in unplanned pregnancy) the mother is the one that has the burden of raising and being financially responsible for the child.

Unless there is a way to ease that burden on one person (or at least not make it absolutely shameful that someone may need help in the case that they're solely responsible for a child), I will fully support a woman's right to choice.

DO you know how many women still get pregnant with getting their tubes tied?

Like everyone else already said, tubal ligation is still not 100%.

I'm against abortion but pro-women have the right to make the choice even if I don't agree with it.

I'm kind of in the air as to what my exact religious philosophy... Universalist Christian with curiousity in Buddhist philosophy.

I recently had the opportunity to work for a pregnancy care center as an intern, which I had to turn down because I could not agree with their statement of faith or terms of treatment. I had to be a hard-core pro-life Christian that was anti-contraceptive education, pro-abstinence for all, and a bunch of other stuff that I couldn't get down with. I mean... I couldn't even talk about contraception and if a married woman asked me about it, I had to refer her to her husband... what is that bs?

I volunteered with with a free pregnancy center for a while, but I quit because of the religious BS (I needed to have hours for community service).
We weren't allowed to recommend BC either. We were supposed to pray with the woman/girl and recommend a church and go over the "virtues" of abstinence.
This one girl came in (she couldn't have been over 14 or 15) and she found out she was pregnant. I asked her what kind of BC she was on and she said none. She was very upset about it all and how it would affect her life and stuff. I told her that if she really did not want to carry the child, then she should look into abortion. I told her if she planned on continuing to be sexually active, she needed to go to the health department to get on BC.

I didn't know I was being watched, but I was and I got in a TON of trouble for what I did. After that I decided, fuck it, and never went back.

A baby is not a burden. An unwanted pregnancy is a burden.

That is sooooo far from a "win". Animals are not equal to human beings. Animals have ALWAYS been thought of as FOOD.

Did you read what the original chick said though? She said murder to her means killing a living thing. She was just pointing out the flawed logic.

If murder means killing a living thing, and abortion = murder...then killing animals = murder. Therefore, if you EAT the animal that was killed, you are an accessory to murder. By OP's logic at least.

She must not blow her nose or take antibiotics either.
