I've never done pilates until tonight. I just did a workout that was on demand. I don't know, it just seemed too easy. Does pilates help to tone the mid section? I am a bit confused about pilates.

Finally someone that spells their name like mine!

I do pilates with this asian girl on youtube and its so intense. I did one for the butt and could barely walk the next day.

Do you have a link? I'm looking into Pilates. I do have a DVD I bought as well but actually now that I've sat down for 5ish minutes my core feels "tight"

My whole first name is "KristaAnne" My mom butchered my name. One of my best friends' name is Christa. We call her "Christa with a C" and myself "Krista with a K" for sanity when we have 4-5 kids yelling "MOM"

I always meet Krista's with a C, never K.

Heres the link though. Not sure If POP pilates is different but it definitely works.

I was doing the 30DS before trying to keep motivated and my "friend" quit after day 9 :( So I have no one to really keep me motivated anymore!

pilates is okay, but be leery about the abdominal stuff. you can get diastasis recti from certain pilates moves (splitting in your abdominal muscles), but since you have had kids you probably already have one. u can check if you have one :

http://www.bellefit.com/diastasis.php

even the creator of pilates, Joseph Pilates, gave himself a diastasis from the certain moves.

having said that, i do mat pilates occasionally. it's not all bad, its fun but i definetely omit certain moves
