I am 6 weeks pp. I had the same thing.i read it's a good sign thatis itchy cause it means it's healing. I had my doctor look at it and he was happy with it.

yea. around mine itched like mad for a good 2 months after, still does now sometimes. (had mine on 1st oct 2012) mentioned it to my doctor at a general check up and he said it's normal, it's just healing. x

yes it used to drive me nuts....the theorys were it could be healing underneath or nerves reattaching or just your body fighting off natural infections and the last was a late reaction to mabe any left over residue from the bandage or iodine etc. just general itchyness

yea this last bit. i'm alergic to the sticky shit on plasters and all that and my skin was still all irritated and swollen from the insanely sticky bandage, took ages to get all the crap off my skin! lol. that itched a crazy amount!

Thankyou all.
I would have replied earlier but for some reason my notifications aren't working so I just now noticed.
I guess I'll just deal with the itching, I'm happy its not something serious.

Also I think I'm going to take off my steri strips.
3 already fell off and the rest are starting to come off anyway, so maybe if I take them off it'll help the itching.
Hopefully.

Wow I haven't heard of that either.
They stitched me inside then stapled the outside.
The day I went home they pulled out the staples and put the strips.
