Definitely different than period. A lot more "clots" and wayyyy thicker (which is why they tell you absolutely NO TAMPONS until your pp period) as for a smell... I'm not really sure it should have much of a smell to it.

My doctor just used a speculum and used tongs to go up and retrieve it. I had only IV pain meds. It was bad.

My midwife tried to get her hand up there and pull it out, tried with forceps, then another midwife tried with her hand, then the doctor came in and tried with his hand, then they took me down to theatre and the last thing I remember is being in the stirrups lol. I had a full epi, morphine and gas. It fucked me up, I passed out then tried to get up off the table when I came to lol
