Just wondering if this works in your last trimester to help things along? When should I start drinkng it? Just want to do things later on to see if I can get my own labour going without needing to be induced. Of course I won't start until it is safe to do so.
TIA Mama's :)

you can start it at 37 weeks. It doesn't induce labor, but it helps strengthen your uterus and contractions if you're having them. You can also take evening primrose oil. It comes in capsules. You can start that orally at 36 weeks, then vaginally at 37. It helps soften the cervix

I think they said to start it somewhere in the 3rd trimester. I tried it a few weeks ago and it was SO bitter, i'm gonna mix it with my peppermint tea and try to drink it that way :)

my midwife suggested I drink it throughout my whole pregnancy, I really don't think it's going to help move things along.

I just heard it was supposed to help with ease of labour and such. So thanks I will start taking it later when I start getting further along.
