Seems like food is going up in price...or is it just me? I even price match at Walmart, shop sales, and use coupons...

Ugh if you find the secret let me know! I can barely stay under 500 a month for 3, one of which barely eats!

Quoting I♡C.:" $450 for the month. Includes house hold items like cleaners, toilet paper, paper towels, diapers (for ... [snip!] ... What can I do differently? I've seen people budget less for 3 people...no clue if that included house hold items though."

first of all your kid should be eating more then pizza, chicken andpasta. Like FRUIT and VEGGIES. If you only give them healthy food, they will eventually eat it. Anyways have you tried couponing?? Ive got our bill for 4 people down to $300.00 a month.

Chris too. He doesn't eat much and it still seems like $450 is NOT enough.

I sometimes spend double what you do for my family of 3. I think I over buy a lot, but I know my organics also play into my cost.
I have found that when I meal plan and do multiple meals in advance for the week it is so much more cost effective.

First of all, you should mind your buisness when it comes to WHAT my child eats. He won't eat fruits and veggies, I've tried. I won't see him go hungry. He isn't dying and the pediatrician is aware of his eating. She said he'll outgrow it. He was on Pediasure for a long time until I couldn't afford it anymore.

Yes, as I told someone else, I coupon, shop sales, and price match at Wally World.

I wish I could afford organics. I buy organic fruits/veggies when they're on sale at Sprouts, but food wise, I just can't. And it still seems like $450 isn't enough :(

I understand not affording pediasure. my oldest is underweight, and we gave him pediasure sidekick shakes for a long time, but it got way too expensive. we started buying carnation instant breakfast for him. it is cheaper and lasts longer.

buy in bulk on some things like we buy meats in bulk so it lasts the entire month with freezing most of it.. either way with a family of 3 we usually come out to about 500 a month ourselves

love to see you work your magic in this household. the only fruit cameron eats are bananas. he likes the flavors of fruits in other things but its a texture thing with him

Food is so expensive! I want to get into couponing. There are so many great coupons to print out but I don't have a printer. I need to get one!
I budget $200 for the month for my husband and I. My LO dosnt eat food and her formula is in a different budget. I actually don't eat much, maybe once a day. I'll have toast or something. And my niece and sister-in-law always come over and take food. And we make too much for food assistance :/ ugh!!
