what do you put in it besides the spices, beef and veggies? im looking up recipes and some say just beef broth, others are saying add tomato sauce in it too so i dont know what to do!
just beef, broth, and veggies(potatoes, carrots, onion, celery) in beef stew for us
I use a bit of tomato paste and beef broth.
I make mine with gravy and a bit of lea &perrins (worcester sauce) Its personal choice though so try what you like and if it doesnt work dont do it again! :)
I like it with tomato juice instead of beef broth
pot meat/stew meat
spices (pepper, seasoning salt, onion powder etc)
I use V8 as my base and add beaf cubes and Woecestershire.
I put beef-stew meat
an onion that I've caramelized
a stout like Young's double chocolate or some bourbon
salt and pepper
all of that in a dutch oven
We make our sides separate, my husband doesnt care for all of it together for some reason.
I think I used Emril's recipe for slow cooker beef stew for the liquid and how much meat then I added extra veggies.
I do a can of whole tomatoes, celery, carrots, onion, potato, & beef.
I use V8 juice as my base. I put carrots, celery, potatoes, onion and garlic in there.
I coat my stew meat in flour, salt and pepper and I lightly brown, drain and transfer to the pot. I will add hot sauce if no kids will be eating it, but now that is rare, so I leave that out.
It is so yummy!
