Can someone tell me why the age to introduce homo milk is diffrent in canada then America? Im told to start her on homo milk by my doctor and everyone I know also started before a year since the feeding guide in Canada states 9 months is safe. (Shes 10 months). My question i guess is why is it reccomended here before 12 months if their digstive syatems are not ready..id just like some clarification before I start my daughter on homo milk. Sorry for typos on my phone. Tia

Well I did find something that makes sense;

Giving a baby cow's milk can cause small amounts of blood loss in the gastrointestinal tract. This blood loss can cause iron deficiency, leading to anemia. By the time a baby's 9 months old, cow's milk no longer causes this bleeding. Just to be safe, though, most doctors recommend waiting the full 12 months before offering cow's milk to a child.
