Emily sounds better IMO. Emiliana does somewhat sound boyish and made up but if you like it go for it they can always call her Emily or Emmy for short. Congrats!

I think its a gorgeous name. But if I was worried about her getting made fun of give her a more typical middle name. So if she chooses she can have a more usual name.

After a second thought it isnt that bad. If you really like it hun go for it. I have heard worst that are just meant for that one gender. Kwim. But Emiliana has a girly ring to it it Emily and ana so combined yes is considered girly. Happy valentines day to everyone reading this thread!

Not when everyone uses them, it takes all the beauty away from the name.

nah they are uglier names out there. I hate unisex names. They should be intended for one gender only. Is annoying like hey isnt that a girls names or a boys names. I rather hear nice names that is intended for a girl or a boy no matter how overused they are. If they are pretty and you like it who cares go for it. JS.

People should think outside the box and still give their child a proper name. Its not hard, like the OPs name. Your argument is silly. It is not your name, its your childs. Think about them and how having whether an overused, unisex, misspelled name effects THEM, not you : ). That is the importance of naming a child.

Like I said if they like a name or the any spelling let them be happy is just a name if always good to have two names so they have the option to pick one or use both kwim. I understand if they names their kids TEQUILA SUNSET SUNSHINE then I agree with you and think twice since that is not really a name for a child. But Emma Emily etc etc those are real names and they are not made up. So you tell me which one would you prefer a real name or made up name. LOL

Emiliana will be a unique name it doesnt sound bad if you really think about it. If OP likes it I dont see why she cant. Kids will make fun of you regardless of your name.

Aw, c'mon. I've got an Emma, and I think it's beautiful on her. I mean, I know another girl named Emma (One in my area), but the names suit them completely differently.

Just because it's been popular doesn't make it an ugly name!
