Quoting ~GAGA DRAMA~:" IKR. That is what I been saying. lol"

:D I mean, yes it's popular, but it's still an awesome name! It's not like it's trendeigh, like Jayden, or made up like Nevaeh. It's got actual, historical roots, and is a proper girl's name. And it's totally sweet.

Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's a bad name!

I'd rephrase that to great minds think alike. :D

<blockquote><b>Quoting ~GAGA DRAMA~:</b>" Like I said if they like a name or the any spelling let them be happy is just a name if always good ... [snip!] ... bad if you really think about it. If OP likes it I dont see why she cant. Kids will make fun of you regardless of your name."</blockquote>

You are grasping a missing the point. I adore the ops name, it is a wonderful choice and a perfect alternative to Emily or Emma. I know what is a real name and what is garbage. I have nothing against both names other than both are overused. Theyre not ugly, I dont recall ever calling them ugly. Hearing or seeing a name used as often as those two can take away its beauty, but no that does not leave it ugly.

A name is a unique identifier, and when you give your child a name that (for example) over half of his or hers peers have, then you have failed at naming your child. It doesnt matter if it is the name emily or the most outrageous name like Q'uantisha.

Like the name Jessica. I know 10 that I grew up with. You hear itso often, it loses it s "nitch" and flare.

Eh, I guess this is an agree to disagree moment, then. I seriously doubt that I failed in naming my child, just because we named her Emma.

At least you spelled it properly and didn't give her a name like Em'mah "just to set her apart" lol.

Oh Lord, no. That would be just scary...lol, there's no way.

I do know a girl named Aemmah, though. Pronounced the same way as Emma...

A name is just a name that doesnt have anything to do with personality or how the peers will see them. Is not by their name is their character and how they carry themselves. I think many people will look beyond the name more than anything. In reality is just a personal choice.

Again, not the point. A name doesn't define you. Its not an identity but an identifier.
Like not every Ashley is the same just because of her name. You cannot generalize them all into one big personality or look, however that is one's name.

Another similar name is Emmalina. Emma-Lee-nuh is how it's pronounced. Went to school with a girl with that name and it's so pretty.

:!:

As much as I love Isabella, I just couldn't use it. Popular names lose their appeal after awhile of being overused.
